Resolved Question: Profiting from PAIN- What would make more $?

Hello! My health teacher and I were debating for an entire class period (over 40 mins) over this, and I still think my side of the argument makes more sense. What do you think? Lets say a company created a vaccine OR cure for HIV/AIDS (and DID NOT release it yet), and the same company sells pills that help stop the proggression of HIV into AIDS. Would it be more profitable to sell the pills that have to be taken constantly to prevent HIV from turning into AIDS, or more profitable to sell the "1 shot" cure/vaccine at a tremendous cost at first release and slowly lower the price (say starting price of $2,000,000 per person for vaccine/cure and slowly lowered to $100). I think it would be much more profitable for drug companies to sell the pills that prevent the symptoms from progressing than the cure. What do you think?

I'm a married 26yr old woman.I've been married for 3yrs.We have one child and along i have been using Jadelle/Norplant as my contraceptive.I got it removed 5 months back because it kept me bleeding most of the times.I tried the loop the same month and got it removed because it dislocated and my doctor says something about my cervix being small.2 months ago i started using spermicides because my doctor advised me to use them and he said they were effective.Ever since i started using them i started having some white virginal discharge discharge and i also got pregnant while using them accurately. I stopped using them because i felt itchy outside my virgina and also because of the discharge.The discharge is very thick and white and sometimes with yellowish traces.I've done so many STI tests and even HIV tests and the last ones i had them 2days ago and they are all negative.I'm worried what could it be and how do i get it treated.I was on antibiotics and several creams that i got from a local family health clinic but still nothing is changing.Initially they told me it was a thrash and they gave me medication which they said i must stop taking milk and it's products until 2 weeks after treatment.I followed that but still nothing is changing.Please help me will this not do any harm to my unborn baby?What medication could be effective.I can't even enjoy sex with my husband because of the itching and whenever we have it the outside of my virgina gets swollen afterwards and sometimes i develop some cracks.

Okay so a friend is worried about a possible HIV exposure....here it goes.... Ok 3 days ago, I met up with a guy. This then led up to us almost having anal sex, he tried to insert but his penis wouldn't stay in and YES he had on a condom and YES there was lubricant. Open Question: Can condoms protect us from HIV for sure?

I know that nothing is for certain and there is always a possibility for everything but my question is, if there is nothing wrong with the condom and nothing goes wrong, and you use it from the beginning of intercourse (and have oral sex without a condom) what are the chances? Open Question: How to deal with this maturely?

My friend, we shall call her Amy, is a lesbian. I have nothing against that! However...she's very, um, showy about it. Open Question: What is going on with my menstural cycle?

My last period was January 22 and I was intimate on Feb 13. I was tested recently for pregnancy hiv and all stds every test came back negative. around February 20 I was having clear discharge no odor to it. That it ended around the 24 and then I started having lower back pains which only lasted a few days. Open Question: Can myalgia, sore lymph nodes with no fever be a sign of acute HIV infection?

I've been having symptoms of sore muscles, which I think is myalgia e.g. Very sore inner thighs and upper arms, calves etc. Plus really sore underarms and back of neck with some nerve ending sensations in joints and across lower abdomen. I haven't had a fever and otherwise feel ok. I did have possible exposure to HIV but do these symptoms sound like acute HIV infection/seroconversion? Thank you.

Resolved Question: Your take on the V5 Vampire Virus?

Hi, I know a little (a lot) about the Vampire V5 Virus, and was wondering what your take was. My personal belief, from research and intuition, is that the virus is closely related to the common flu and AIDS. Obviously not all parents with HIV/AIDS pass it on to their children; same for the V5. This virus changes the DNA, much like HIV does. The virus can be fought off if the person's immune system is strong enough. The V5 virus passes from vampire to person in saliva, blood, and to a lesser degree semen. Therefore, it is totally possible to "turn" a human being to a vampire. As part of the DNA mutation, vampires are stronger, have better senses, and run faster. Their senses are so much more sensitive, however, that their skin blisters easily and their eyes burn in sunlight. They therefore, of course, prefer to stay away from the sun. The bloodthirst is a biological need, as in the body actually needs it. The immortality is just because the body physically ages a year for every few years the human would otherwise age. Vampires will eventually die no matter what. Another part of the DNA mutation is that the body will heal quicker and the organs will heal themselves (hence the whole dodging bullets thing). So.....anyone have their own theories? Look up the virus before answering and read up about it; then decide. Aingeal JPA: Thank you for your input! I harbor my own beliefs about the virus as well as the differences between the vampire types (won't post it here for fear of verbal attacks) and I value any opinion of someone who knows what they're talking about.
